1. What is it like to be a female real estate agent?
Being a woman broker is quite challenging, especially if you are also a mother. The brokerage profession involves many qualities and among the most important is the ability to plan your commitments with meticulous precision, both professional and personal. Good communication, knowledge of the market and teamwork with a property law attorney are a basic minimum for a successful career.
2. Do you work better with male or female colleagues?
I work successfully with honest and respectful colleagues, regardless of their gender. Let's not forget that there are colleagues important to my professional and personal development direction. There are specific names of different genders who have been my teachers, mentors and inspirations.
3. Have you felt undervalued as a female broker?
I understand what it means to feel undervalued professionally. However, I believe in my strength, professionalism, willingness to develop and acquire new knowledge and skills. If someone underestimates me, it does not mean that my skills and capabilities are small, it reflects their prejudices and limitations. I believe that we all deserve to be judged on merit, regardless of our gender, and I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals.
4. Tell a funny story from your practice.
I certainly have a lot of funny stories in my work, but one of my favorites is when a client's mother came to visit and was baking a pie, the whole apartment smelled delicious and the clients couldn't resist asking to eat. So the look around dragged on and we all took a bite of the delicious pie. This comical moment was very funny and became one of the anecdotes I still share with colleagues with a smile. About the pie and the sale. I'm always positive and love to soak up and experience such funny moments in my work.
5.What would you say to ladies who want to pursue a career in real estate brokerage?
Working as a broker is exciting but often underestimated for the workload and commitment. If you're persistent, love a dynamic work environment, can communicate on multiple levels and want to gain knowledge and social contacts, this could be the dream job for you. Take your time, at least six months, to learn about all aspects of the profession before deciding if it is right for you.
